Dr. Paul Quinnett, Suicide Prevention Expert on Military Mom Talk Radio with Sandra Beck and Robin Boyd
Dr. Paul Quinnett is a clinical psychologist and the President and CEO of the QPR Institute, an educational organization dedicated to preventing suicide. Training in seven countries, the institute’s more than 6,000 active Certified QPR instructors have trained almost 2 million lay and professional people in how to prevent suicide.
Author of seven books and an award-winning journalist, he is also Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
In the early 1960’s Dr. Quinnett served in the US Army Security Agency in Asia (now NSA). Much of his work in suicide prevention is based on his military training in surveillance, signal detection, intelligence gathering, threat assessment and analysis of human behavior.
Dr. Quinnett enjoys a second career as an avid fly fisherman, travel writer, essayist, and public speaker.
